On the road still

Captain David Moses with General George Price at the dinner at The Occidental. I'm not sure who was prouder. Capt.  Moses presented Jan Scruggs with a flag that had been flown over Baghdad.

General Barry McCaffery and Linda hit it off real well. McCaffrey's kids are all Univ. of Wash. grads. Two still live in Seattle/Yakima area. McCaffrey wants Uncle Greg to take him fishing.

The 25th fellas asked Stephan and Linda to escort the wreath for the Memorial Day ceremony.

Following his speech, and that of Gen. Casey's, Capt. Moses join Gen. Casey and Gen. McCaffrey at the Wall during the playing of TAPS.

We were on our way out-of-town Monday when we rec'd a call from Dave MacIntyre of the 25th Infantry Division. For those of you who read the book or have followed the journey, Dave is one of  the guys next to the howitzer in the photo of Dad squatting with the children at Dragon Mountain. He heard me speak at the ceremony in 2004 but was unable to introduce himself. He turned to his buddies at the time and said, "That's my Platoon Sgt.'s  daughter." He started walking toward the stage, but turned away before introducing himself. Then he waited 2 years to call me. Finally, he was ready and it just happened to be the same weekend Linda was in town. We met up at the Jefferson Memorial. This was moments after our first encounter.
