For all of you who have been wanting to see where I live, this is it. The village of Pinehurst. That's the hotel, where I'm now standing and the church, where I just heard the Sunday message. Notice the stained glass. Of course, this is Pinehurst in edible form. Here it is in the concrete version...

Village Chapel looks a lot like Rose Hill, the church of my youth.

The red carpet adds to the feel of Christmas...

Jason & Weezie are the folks who introduced me to Pinehurst

There are huge Holly trees here in North Carolina. The coat is a $19 steal that I got several years ago and just happens to be Tar Heel blue!

I can't imagine the hours it took to decorate the hallway. This is just one side.
There are rockers on the porch and venetian cut glass chandeliers in the dining room. It's a beautiful place. And quiet. Did I mention how quiet this town is and how much I do not miss the Piano bar?
I don't even miss the snow at Christmas. It was in the 70s here on Saturday. People were walking around in shorts, eating ice cream.
That's my idea of Christmas.
