I've spent the past week in Southern Pines, NC with friends Jason and Weezie. They've been in Pasadena for part of the week because Weezie, an artist, had her work in a juried show. Stacey Howell of Fairhope, Ala. introduced me to Weezie and J. When she was around earlier in the week, Weezie helped me hunt for new digs.

But it looks like I'm not the only one shopping around for a place to live. Obama & the girls have been trying to secure a new home in DC, albeit a temporary one. They hoped to move into the Blair House in time for the girls to start school. But alas, the inn is booked.
