Seattle Thanksgiving

Mama, Frankie, me and Linda posing pre-game dinner.

Linda and I are evidence of our family's heritage. She's got the Cherokee features and I got the Irish-Mulengeon mix. Notice the evergreens outside the window? Frank's home is like living in a treehouse. He's surrounded by mountains and trees.

Let me see if I can name all the cousins from left to right: Back row: Robert, Stephan, Taylor & John. Front row: Jessica, Shelby, Gabe, Konnie, Nancy and Rebecca. Missing are Amy, Frank's oldest. Mannie, Linda's oldest. And Ashley. All three of them are married now and spending time with their inlaws. Also missing is David's, Frank's oldest boy, who was starting his first day on the job as an officer with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Dept.

John & Nancy made it official, announcing their engagement. Plans are for a June, 2008 wedding. This will make the fourth wedding for the Spears clan of grandchildren. So far no great-grandbabies for Granny Spears but I'm sure those days aren't too far off. We are all thrilled about the engagement and so we celebrated with a few rounds of Indian Leg Wrestling. I was the champ for many rounds and if I can ever figure out how to download video to the blog, I'll post a round or two. Hope your Thanksgiving was as festive.
